We recently visited National Library of Ireland to view the large coloured manuscript maps prepared for the Bog Commissioners. A beautiful example of geography and art intertwined.

Great day out in the field Abbeyleix Bog last week. Thanks to Chris Uys for being our guide. Great to see to many people out exploring its paths and fascinating to hear about and see the impact of their conservation works.

The changing landscape of midlands.. Substantial changes to exposed peat on BnM land over the past decade. This trend will continue. The baseline datasets and methods we developed in our recent research will be important to monitor and track these changes
