Vavuniya District Court released eight arrested during Sivaratri worship at Vedukunarimalai Aathishivan temple.

Opposition MPs staged a protest against the illegal arrest of worshipers in Vavuniya. I Would like to thank the leader of the Opposition Hon. Sajith Premadasa and all MPs who were brave enough to stand up to demand equality in freedom to worship for all citizens in this country

A protest was held in Nedunkeni today demanding the release of the eight devotees who were arrested during Shivaratri worship at Vedukunarimalai Aathishivan Temple.

The hunger strike of the imprisoned Vedukunarimalai Shivan Temple devotees continues for the third day. Lawyers met them in person.

08 Tamils have been arrested in #Vedukkunarimalai . Following the court's Order, 06 of them were hospitalized today, while 02 have been remanded in custody.

The police are aggressive In Vedukunarimalai Aathi shivan Temple. The administrative secretary of the temple who was involved in Shivaratri worship T. Tamilchelvan and tnpf Vavuniya District Coordinator Thavapalan were recently arrested by the police.
