NYPD forced out Columbia Daily Spectator reporters in front of Hamilton and locked the doors to John Jay Hall—where all of our stuff was, including my wallet and driver’s license—to prevent us from re-entering the building.

One officer told us: “It’s the gate, or it’s arrest—you choose.”
