If they’d shown that patience with Potter, I think they’d be further along. No way of ever proving that, but all of the things Pochettino has done Potter could’ve done given the time and the authority. I think #cfc wasted an opportunity, and the Lampard hire was a waste of time.

No Julian Brandt in the Germany squad. I’m a big fan of Nagelsmann, but don’t agree with him here. Brandt is capable of coming up with a moment of magic to turn a game, and he’s upped his work-rate defensively.

Biggest compliment to #avfc I can pay is that a move to somewhere like Bayern or #mufc for Unai Emery would make absolutely no sense. He has the perfect platform and environment where he is.

Thought #thfc gave a really good account of themselves considering their form and the opposition, but the first goal was a horror show. Bad pass, Romero loses 50-50 to Foden (!!!), Bentancur can’t tackle because he’s been booked, and Spurs don’t do enough to stop KDB.

Of all the stats I see as a commentator when researching, some of the most useless are London-based ones. 'Player X has scored eight goals in their last ten visits to London', 'West Ham have only won three of their ten London derbies this season' - they tell no story whatsoever.
