And then there's Florida man David Sosa, who was wrongly arrested twice—I repeat: TWICE—because cops in Martin County mistook him for a suspect with the same name.

It's not the first time someone has been arrested for having a similar name to someone with a warrant.

Consider this guy in Dallas who was jailed for several days & reportedly lost his job because police did not verify his name matched the real suspect's: x.com/billybinion/st…

This is totally nauseating. Apart from being housed in a sex offender unit, this innocent man was made to wear a special jumpsuit and a wristband denoting he was accused of child molestation, which puts a huge mark on your back in jail.

Hope he gets an *enormous* payout.

This is wild: Oversight inspectors say some people in Men's Central Jail are MISSING COURT bc the jail won't give them wheelchairs even though... making sure people show up to court is literally the point of jail.

New from me: LA County Sheriffs is failing to follow its own rules about releasing the names of deputies who shoot & kill people.

Policy requires the release of video & names w/in 30 days. That's only been done for 5 of 25 shootings during Sheriff Luna’s term.
