16 runners finished 100 miles at the Capital Backyard Ultra. One runner did not finish the 24th yard within the time limit. 13 runners started the 25th yard.

18 runners remain in the race and are back on the day (trail) loop at the Capital Backyard Ultra.

Heavy rain coming through just as the runners began the 17th yard at the Capital Backyard Ultra. Two more runners have dropped.

In the time it takes to perform Turandot, the field at the Capital Backyard Ultra dropped from 43 to 27 runners. It was a hot day, then the rain came.

43 runners (out of 46 starters) remain in the Capital Backyard Ultra at the beginning of the eighth yard. I have to go to the opera; runners are under strict instruction not to drop while I am away.
