I feature in Kevin Keen article about the public sector.

Personally, I think non-frontline services need to be streamlined.

We need to increase funding for frontline services, and we also need to prioritise transfers to the reserve funds, too.

Chris Edmond Kevin Keen jepnews Productivity was a key message, and also a key message in the Fiscal Policy Panels housing review also in today’s JEP. It should be the council of ministers no 1 priority

Chris Edmond Kevin Keen jepnews Realistically the island needs someone who will put their fist through it and not stop until the sheep have fled. You can build back better after the reckoning.

Chris Edmond Kevin Keen jepnews We’re appointing more health managers who then need asst managers to help them bean count in preference to frontline clinical workers. They add layers of (delaying) bureaucracy to provision of patient care. They don’t facilitate they hesitate. They don’t listen to the care givers

Deputy Max Andrews Kevin Keen Seriously, some departments are much too large. Revenue for one, where full modernisation of the tax laws could result in a more efficient system. For example, most employees in the UK don't even fill in annual returns, no split payments on 'account', tax deducted by banks.

Rowland Huelin Kevin Keen jepnews Completely agree Rowland Huelin. Which means having the best people, in the right roles, empowering them and supporting them to be their best. Need somehow to cut back on roles that don’t really deliver, across all sectors.
