Absolutely blown away by 'Silence' The Rep Adapted from Kavita Puri 'Partition Voices, directed by Iqbal Khan, the production uses mixed media & clever staging to tell the stories of the silent. The actors were superb- it bought me to tears. Close to the bone and unapologetic.
This podcast by Kavita Puri is so important and so good that I’m listening to it for a third time. I strongly recommend it.

Saw this last week in Leicester. An important piece of oral history on a subject many of us are in the dark about. Including those of us whose families lived through it. Thank you to Tara Theatre and all the team. Birmingham - go see.

Just listened to Kavita Puri’s 🔥series, Three Million, on BBC Sounds, about the horrors of British India’s man-made famine during WW2.
3 million starved to death.
But, in a world that memorialises every little thing about WW2, their memory is largely absent.
