Sarah Silverman Duncan Jones Australian here. Had a knee operation about 5 and a half years ago, with 4 half-yearly follow-up check-ups over 2 years. My out of pocket expenses - $10 to catch a taxi to the hospital. Hate to think how much it would have cost me if I lived in the US
@Johnno5311 Sarah Silverman Duncan Jones My mom just had a knee operation here in the states. My parents pay for insurance and supplemental insurance and it still cost thousands.
@mattmurphmd @Johnno5311 Sarah Silverman Duncan Jones Both my parents had both knee replacements here in Canada....4 operations and all we paid was for parking. It astounds me that the US doesn't have a healthcare plan/option that covers all Americans.
