Really excited to see researchers digging into the available data from the MoTrPAC training study! Congratulations Professor Adam Sharples on this epigenetics study. Hope to see more!!
Thanks to Professor Adam Sharples for his piece on this MoTrPAC paper on epigenetics and exercise training across tissues. Reminder, this data (including analyzed data sets) are fully available to the public for use. Interested? start digging around here: motrpac-data.org
Exciting postdoc opportunity in the Carrie Partch
In time for the #OlympicGames! "Molecular aspects of the exercise response and training adaptation in skeletal muscle" is out now in Free Radical Biology and Medicine SFRBM - great work by Regula Furrer Handschin_Lab Biozentrum, University of Basel University of Basel 1/5 doi.org/10.1016/j.free…
Best way to end your #ASB2024 is to join us for a meeting of the muscle minds 💪 See you at 2:30pm CT on Thursday American Society of Biomechanics
Really nice work by Ryan A. Martin, Ph.D.. It’s time to dig into the nucleus to better understand how exercise modifies different groups of proteins. This is only a start but gives us insight into new pathways that contribute to the exercise response in muscle.
Interested in circadian physiology? Mark Viggars and I wrote this Perspective. Circadian variation in physiology is often small in magnitude but robust in repeatability. This requires design attention to sample size with precision in outcome measures. academic.oup.com/function/advan…
