Unboxing a TriOS Viper hyperspectral light attenuation sensor - the latest addition to the FINMARI research infrastructure.
It will be used together with a #Hyperbb to measure suspended particle hyperspectral backscatter to determine particle composition.

Paper led by Changxun Yu shows that microbially-derived Mn-hydroxides are important phases of Mn settling in estuaries impacted by acidic rivers.
Mn-hydroxides are comparably stable in the sediments and may push down #SMTZ .
