This right-wing voucher lobby group has made quite clear that church attendance and successful proselytizing should be the measures by which voucher systems are judged.

Sometimes I wonder where we’d be today if Bush had gotten his first choice and Harriet Miers had been confirmed instead of Alito.

And how much of Alito’s through-line today is private grievance that he originally lost out to a non-Ivy trained lady.

Voucher lobby bros ignore these reports, and voucher research bros say it’s only a small number of people affected.

Either way: when they say “every kid” should get a choice they’re either lying or they’re denying the humanity of an entire group of people.

These DeVos folks are just fine with it when private schools throw kids out for “lack of fit” or having divorced parents or a teen pregnancy.

But when those sub-prime schools want a taxpayer bailout with vouchers, the pitch is all “keep kids in their schools!”
