I like how he phrases this, like he was shocked that quantity over quality turned out to be a failure despite it being something people have said for like centuries

It’s amazing that Fury Road, a movie that was written more in storyboards than a traditional script, still manages to have more memorable lines than 99% of Hollywood movies from the last decade.

I saw The Dark Knight for the first time at a half-full Friday matinee in Bloomington, IL and the crowd reaction to Joker making the pencil disappear was still electrifying. Great movie moment.

I'm guessing part of the reason Netflix gave Mulaney money to do six live shows where he dicks around was to test out how much their servers can actually handle serious livestreams before a legit big viewership event like this.
