This sterling silver menorah from Antichità al Ghetto was created in 1959. We wonder how many times the candles have been lit for Chanukah and how many blessings have been sung...

Tonight, on the first night of Chanukah we wish you peace & light.

Working with Giampaolo Seguso, publishing his beautiful poem, meeting with him when I was in Venice, all became an honor of a lifetime. He was always extraordinarily kind.
Remarkably, his eyes held the colors of all the glass he had ever created…addio maestro.

With the passing of Giampaolo Seguso, Venice loses another grand maestro. He was a brilliant glass artist, poet & patriarch of the Seguso family on Murano.
For Dream of Venice he wrote a powerfully elegant poem, which actually came to him in a dream. We will miss you, Giampaolo

The chorus of the waves
of the lagoon

time without time,
death without death,
awakening without sleep,
dream without dream.

“No remotely competent person can believe that the application of an entrance ticket for 30 days over the course of a year could influence the management of tourist flows in a city that welcomes 30 million visitors.”
