This is damning of the president.

It compounds the claim in my Irish Times article wherein I wrote that antisemitism permeates society from the top down.

Holding Jews worldwide accountable for the actions of the Israeli government is antisemitic. The president is antisemitic.

I'm not a big 'bookies odds' guy on elections, but there's a definite shift in the Europeans towards the three Independent Ireland candidates, with Mullooly nearly a lock, Niall Boylan heavily favoured, and Eddie Punch coming up on the rails in Ireland South.

It really is extraordinary what's said at these events when they believe the public isn't there to listen. This time, somebody was:

A property developer was forced to pay Fine Gael election candidate Marian Agrios €15,000 and carry out €15,000 worth of work to her house so she would withdraw her objection to a housing development.

I'm guessing she didn't represent herself in court and shout at the Judges.

The funny thing about this sort of thing is that by all traditional measurements of military achievement, Israel is decisively winning the war everywhere except in two metrics: 1) on twitter 'likes' countback and 2) in terms of statements from Micheál Martin and Simon Harris.

This is sort of what I’m talking about. The war hasn’t really been all that close if I’m being honest but Mariam has decided that she will simply not allow Israel to exist anymore.

The most intriguing thing about this arrant nonsense is the inherent admission in it that establishment Ireland thinks it might be being undone by 150 twitter accounts instead of, say, several years of awful policy.

The Government's local and EU election campaign appears to largely be an appeal to vote for them to ensure further strongly worded letters to Tel Aviv.

Just strategically, one thing that struck me about this debate is that 4 candidates advocated the views of circa 10-20% of the population and allowed one candidate to occupy the space where polls say a majority of voters are.

Courageous.

The urgency and tone of this tweet is interesting, especially in light of all the 'immigration isn't really coming up on the doors' stuff that's appearing in some media outlets.

According to the Irish Independent, indiscriminately firing rockets into civilian areas during a war is 'a show of resilience'.

Got my vote. Particularly the abolition of jolly scotsmen.
