The Dagilis lab (UConn) is looking for graduate students interested in studying speciation, hybridization and the evolution of genome structure. If you like merging theory with data and are fascinated by how simple models can give us unexpected results in evolutionary biology 1/n

Excited to share this preprint with Doc Edge! We wanted to ask what you can learn how genetics explains between-group differences if you know how much genetics explains within-group differences. Turns out the answer is almost nothing! 1/

I'm looking for a new PhD student to join my lab! We study the evolution of social dynamics using fruit flies Rice University. I would love to find an interested student with a background in studying behavior from an eco-evo perspective. Please get in touch if interested!

I'm fine with the bird thing I guess, but I'm sad about the potential loss of Cooper's Hawk and Blackburnian Warbler. Cool birds and cool names. They better come up with something good to replace them.

Also hoping they don't realize Baltimore Oriole is named after Lord Baltimore
