Officially a 14-minute marathon race PR. Didn’t break 3 though although both Strava and Coros say I ran 26.8 miles in 3:00:14. All good, I gave it my all on this day.

Today and EVERYTHING we did on Black Twitter (that was documented) would also become oral history. So when I hear who asked for this, I’d say our future culture is.

This is how I started my first business. Cutting grass for folks in our duplex neighborhood in the summer for $10 to $20 then raking leaves in the fall. Eventually I was doing adjacent streets and saved up enough to pay for myself to go to Washington, DC in 8th grade.

Tesla is laying off thousands of Austin workers. Oracle appears to be moving its headquarters out of Austin. Expedia announced layoffs in Austin along with several other companies.

Over the last year, I’ve seen many Great Blue Herons. In Sac, last June before I moved there. In South Carolina while visiting my mom. In Austin on a run just a few weeks ago. And Vancouver this past week. God is telling me something, and I am listening. This is my spirit animal.

Dune 2 is going to end up with a smaller box office total than Inception, likely not even accounting for inflation, which just makes it so impressive what Nolan does with an original concept compared to even the best directors with remakes and/or licensed properties.
