The power of choice is the best tool in the toolbox.

We choose our attitude. Our attitude toward life determines life’s attitude towards us.

Bad attitude, it’s gonna be a bad day.

Positive attitude, good things will come your way.

It’s that simple.

At some point coaching cones to an end and you’ll have to look yourself in the mirror.

We’re you a Transformational coach or Transactional?

Did you win hearts and build champions or did you get distracted by wins and loses.

This is the day you’ve been given. Go win it!!

Do you think this is true?

'Coaches own practices but Players need to own game day.'

I've heard this before and I'm not sure how I feel about this.

I like to think that Coaches create the engine and the players are the fuel that makes it run.

What do you think?

What's the one thing you miss from the 'good old days of coaching.'

For me it's, stacking 6 VCR's together so I could copy scout film for my players.

But seriously. I do miss the smell of cut grass or mud after a rainy day practice.

SportsTurf has changed the experience.

What have you changed in the last 5 years that has made you a better coach or improved your program.

For me…

*I stopped coordinating either side of the ball. Just focused on being the head guy.

*Renovated our weight-room

*Done a better job incorporating our incoming

Today someone needs you to be their light. A simple smile, high-five, hug, encouraging word, positive text.

Especially your student athletes. They carry a heavy burden. Most of it unseen. Unknown.

Be the light that guides someone's path today!

Gotta love when the football coach gets a letter from one of his past players about his college BASEBALL career.

For every athlete that says “I’m not going to play football so I can focus on just one sport.” Forget it. Life is too short. Play more than one sport.

I think it's funny that I get DM's from recruiting services that say, 'I'm really impressed with your tape, how many college coaches are you talking to?'

I'm honored. My high school tape is from 1989 and is still on VHS and shows me running wheel routes about 1,000x's.

“You’ve gotta win the weight room before you can expect to win on Friday nights.”

I heard that for over a decade of coaching. No matter how hared I tried. It didn’t work.

Why?

It was me “trying hard” and not the kids. They didn’t care as much as I did.

Last week I had one of the most important meetings of the year.

It was with our cheer coach and AD to talk about our home game themes and student outreach.

They bring the heat every home game!

If you aren't working with our cheer program you are missing the mark!

The King's Schools auction didn't disappoint.

It's always great to see the community in action, raising money for the students and mission of the school.

It didn't hurt that I had this pretty girl on my arm all night long.

Go King's Schools and Go Knights!

What's your student/athlete outreach plan this week?

For me, it's a group text by class every M/W/F. Weight room reminders, words of encouragement, etc.

Individual meetings with kids about grades, life check-in, simple high five while on campus.

What's your plan this week?

I'm always looking for ways to improve. Myself, my staff, athletes and program.

I like using the Good, Better, Best model for success.

Everything we do must be done well (Good).

Is there a way to make it Better?

How can it be the Best?

Tiny moves make big things happen!
