Very difficult read. It’s my anecdotal view that most women who have given birth have some degree of unresolved trauma.

Maternity care is high on assumption, low on patient voice & often ends just hours after labour. Little physical/mental aftercare- straight into ‘baby bubble’.

Proposals for civil service reform rarely consider the perspective of other tiers of governance.

But as devolution matures, a more strategic Whitehall should evolve how it interfaces with regions and localities.

Visitor charges or city taxes are common across the world. One year on this has been a success.

From investing more in cleaning our city centre streets to boosting the economy with major events and attracting more visitors, it’s only right that we’re able to direct this into…

Very interesting-looking & necessarily provocative report. We have *got* to start recognising the potential impact of funding allocated laterally across places rather than vertically through Whitehall-defined siloes.
