Last week at the 2023 #TESOLAdvocacy Summit, Juan Seda, Dr. Kathy Anderson, and Jenna Davis (Jenna Davis) of Metro Schools traveled from Tennessee to speak with the office of Senator Bill Hagerty about funding Title II and III of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

Busy day for the EL Office crew! We had 23 teachers and coaches spanning K-12 from across MNPS and Lebanon Special School District diving into the WIDA ELD Standards Framework, SIOP, and our favorite actionable strategies like QSSSA 👏🏽

Jenna Davis modeling co-teaching with Eagle View Elementary School literacy coach. Sharing with all teachers that @WIDA ELD standards are added to the scope and sequence for elementary ELA module 1. This will be a great tool for planning language functions and features for a module👏🏽
