John Means will be in the rotation, Brandon Hyde said.

Hyde was encouraged by Means’ final rehab start — 7 scoreless innings — on Sunday.

But the Orioles have yet to set their rotation for Thursday and beyond.

Brandon Hyde said the Orioles don’t know the severity of Grayson Rodriguez’s shoulder injury. Rodriguez woke up Tuesday with soreness, and Hyde described placing him on the IL as “precautionary.”

“We’re staying optimistic,” Hyde said. He hopes Rodriguez is only out a few weeks.

John Means is happy to be back and feels healthy. The first John Means Day of the season is nearing, but he doesn’t know when that’ll be yet.
