Yes.

We find that Democrats and Republicans are less forgiving of the *exact same* moral transgression when it is committed by an outgroup member than an ingroup member.

Very few people finish reading most books.

Look at the percentage of people who finished a Brief History of Time (6.6%), Infinite Jest (6.4%), and Thinking Fast and Slow (6.8%).

We should write shorter books with punchier first chapters (that people will actually read):

0. The Partisan Brain by Jay Van Bavel, PhD and Pereira doi.org/10.1016/j.tics…
This paper opened my eyes about how ppl may come to hold beliefs untethered from reality. Jay presented this at UCL on my first week of Master's. 5 years later, I am still working on this topic. Thrilled!

Are you looking to join a new lab or organization?

My advice is to look for a track record of success a
+ a culture of constructive criticism. This means people are willing to help one another do great work.

Is this a place where people are:
-open to feedback
-non-defensive
