Stop deferring pelvic exams and assuming all vulvovaginal symptoms are yeast! Not performing an indicated exam is substandard medical care. I DGAF if it's time consuming or you need a chaperone - DO IT. This is my greatest medical pet peeve, I will die on this hill.

Two things I see a lot: Lichen sclerosus and vulvar HSIL. Topical steroids are safe in this scenario. Please don’t stop them for the HSIL. Treat the HSIL which ever way makes sense (excise, laser, imiquimod) and treat the ls with topical steroids

I use handouts from both these sites in every clinic. It’s a lot of work to make high quality handouts. These are great and free and all obgyn, family med and derm should know about them and use them/direct your patients there for good info
