Chris Fowler is outstanding, but not on NFL games. He lacks the sense of when to raise his voice and meet the moment like Nantz or Michaels. He's more made for college, where the crowd makes the moment, or tennis, where being smooth is paramount.

The FOX Sports: MLB broadcasts sound incredibly flat, and I've figured out why: Joe Davis' voice has no upper range cut-through (think Scully/Nantz/Cohen) and the entire cast audio is too bass-oriented. Oh, and Davis' style is bland and blander. His voice is swallowed by the audio.
