The Coast Guard is responding to an oil slick reported to be approximately 13 square miles in size, 3 miles off Newport Beach. Please refer to @USCGLosAngeles for updates.

The County of Orange, in coordination with Unified Command announced the closure of Newport Beach Harbor today at 11 A.M. due to the oil spill. Boats will not be able to enter or exit the harbor. Impacted vessels are requested to go to Huntington Beach or Long Beach Harbors.
