It was very exciting discussing plans for the Doctoral Researcher Well-being Week with DrKatrynaKalawsky🌻 and Dr Kristina Gavran this afternoon! Looking forward to further discussions with the rest of the wonderful LboroWritingGym team, Vani Naik (she/her) and Katie Woodhouse-Skinner 😊📝

It was a pleasure to work with Dr Sophie Cranston and Helena PimlottWilson on this paper and the wider project. It's been an incredible learning experience and I'm keen to see how the conversation around student #distinction and #employability may develop. Thank you ASET for the support!

If you're struggling to concentrate as much as I am this Monday afternoon, get yourself a nice warm beverage and take a look at some of the tips that Liz Ackerley and I have put together for working from home 👇☕️

Day (who even knows? 🤷‍♀️) of lockdown and I have taken to building a den in the living room and working in it. 10/10 recommend if you are struggling to concentrate 👌 #phdlife

An indication of my current state of mind: 1. *Plays a rain white noise soundtrack to help me concentrate* 2. Goes to make a cup of tea 3. Returns to desk and panics that there's a leak in the house so frantically tries to work out where the sound of water is coming from🤦‍♀️

It has been a delight so far! I’m incredibly impressed by all of our wonderful presenters. Throughly looking forward to question time and a group discussion after the break 🤓

You know that thesis deadlines are getting to you when you let yourself vacuum the house for 15 minutes as a ‘reward’ for meeting a mini goal #phdlife #workhardplayhard

‘Intention to submit’ form done! ✅ Now back to thesis editing and (more importantly?) deciding what food to celebrate with later 🙌🍕🧀 #TheEndIsNear #PhDLife #Foodie

I highly recommend being part of the GCYFRG (RGS-IBG) committee! It’s been a wonderful experience and great to be part of such a supportive, friendly group ☺️ Happy to chat to anyone if you have any questions!

If anyone attending #RGSIBG21 next week is feeling a bit overwhelmed by how many sessions there are (🙋🏻‍♀️) and how to make the most of it Emma Bates and I wrote a blog with some tips based on our first experiences of attending that might help: gcyfrg.files.wordpress.com/2020/07/gcyfrg…
