The DnD race debate has to my eye four positions: 1) DnD "races" ought not to be analagous to the irl pseudoscience of "race", dwarfs are a different species than humans. It's fine if their different, if anything htey should be more distinct and alien from one another.

Melithian Rules are there to guide new players and to establish the core values of the game. Those social rules don't NEED to be an Action, you could give the same guidance to the DM on how to handle it, without needing to make it a player-facing action. Doing so *only* invites problems
