I find it unconscionable for publishers to use generative AI to replace human creative input. Beyond the intellectual theft that it perpetuates, it moves us further along the path of not paying creatives what they are worth, something that is already a problem in this industry!

For those who haven't made it through Charlie Hall's interview with Travis Worthington on the use of generative AI illustrations in More Terraforming Mars!, here are ten takeaways from the conversation.

There are a lot of good ethical and aesthetic reasons to avoid AI Art. But, I haven't seen as many folks talk about the implications for our creative practices. When I read Charlie Hall's excellent interview, I was stuck most by how creatively bankrupt the whole endeavor was.
