The Rawkode Academy is taking on sponsors for 2024. Each level comes with a ton of perks.

We have plans at 10,20,40, and 80k (per annum)

The best part? All plans come with some of my time (or a lot of my time), website placements, and bespoke content or courses.

David is a lovely human being who runs his own training business teaching others his container expertise, and their offices just burned down. He needs a new job and some community love, stat.

Who’s hiring container/K8s experts who are good at teaching right now? Can you help?

This really sucks. afaik rawkode is self-employed. I can't imagine this is an easy thing to bounce back from. I feel like as a community we should do something to help. Anyone know how? I just feel terrible for him. Being social and nice is not my forte.

Debugging distroless container images (Chainguard or not) is fun but also quite challenging - kubectl debug can be a bummer. Chainguard folks do a great job keeping their images consistent, so if you use, say, Chainguard Nginx, do debug it with Chainguard's build of busybox.

How to Expose Multiple Containers On the Same Port 🔽

If you think the only way to expose multiple containers on the same port is to use a reverse proxy like the image below shows, this post might surprise you.

A blog post about solving an iximiuz Labs DevOps Challenge spotted in the wild ❤️‍🔥

It definitely made my day - that's likely the first one of the kind.

🏆 DevOps Challenge: Copy a File To/From a Distroless Kubernetes Pod

Did you know that `kubectl cp` needs the `tar` binary in the target container to work? And what if there is no tar inside, but you need to move some files around for debugging? 👇

It's some awesomeness! Back to the basics - the less cloud noise, the better 💪

Tried following the revamped Kubernetes The Hard Way using my MiniLAN playground labs.iximiuz.com/playgrounds/mi…, and it seems to work fine even on amd64 - only some minor adjustments were required.

Something I'd very much like to try for my services. A Dockerfile to a unikernel VM to Cloud with a single command sounds very appealing.

I cannot recommend the latest post by Andy Matuschak highly enough ❤️‍🔥

A whole bunch of software engineers should be figuring out now what's worth learning and what's not anymore, and this read provides a perspective I personally find the most adequate.

Love this timeline:

Have a problem?
- use gptscript to help you fix it
- use iximiuz labs to understand it
- rinse and repeat

In this age of AI, both tools are as important for growth: be more productive while not loosing the knowledge of “why”.
