My theory is that bc Spain is so close to Africa they need to enforce harsh/ brutalist distinctions between whiteness and Blackness, esp as the Spanish would not be considered WASP- the crem de la crem of whiteness

Spain’s anti-blackness is unmatched. Literally transmitting through that horrible place and anyways made it to senegal (just about£ in one piece

There are middle class Black people. However, a Black middle class as constituted group - historical in its formation, land ownership /inheritance, exclusively Black social networks with access to political power, then no.

If you are referring to an interracial middle class…🌚

💚 this description ‘a theatre of living memory’ - it combines 2 critical aspects of African cultural practice.

Memory work as a way of being & doing. Theatre as a modality - used as communication, court systems, archives, entertainment & so much more. theguardian.com/global-develop…

This! This is why we talk about spatial justice. The insidious 'property-ification' of colonial conquest is pervasive everywhere and sits at the base of all our social and ecological challenges. In the colonial imagination, 'property' is a tool that strips life of life.

White women if you are seeing that Black women en mass would prefer to be around white men- I think you all have some collective reflection to be doing
