Proofs day for this article co-authored with Mason Shrader, 'Digging While Impaired: Promoting the Accessibility of Archaeology as a Discipline'! This has been a long time coming and we are so excited. Alt-text spread across two images!

In your experience, how many times on average do you need to submit an article to different journals (revising based on feedback) before it is accepted? (For articles that are not immediately accepted.) I never see scholars talk about this. Feel free to reply to add nuance.

I tweeted about my experience of sexism in academia last year and was met with disbelief from some. If you're still in doubt, take a look at this thread to see how Prof Moss, one of the brightest minds in our field, is treated. My fav comment is 'why can't you take a compliment?'

I'm really looking forward to the responses it generates.

For now, I want to recognize the incredible network of friends & colleagues around me, who helped make this a richly edifying & deeply enjoyable process.
