Congratulations to Michelle Darmody on the launch of her book Seed to Supper, a book for young people published by Nine Bean Rows & launched tonight at Hodges Figgis with lovely words from Kristin Jensen and a perfect expression of the magic of Michelle by Aoife Carrigy
Home made charcuterie to start the meal Restaurant Chestnut . I must say it took a few years to get here but I was only saddened by what I had been missing . A true gem of a restaurant and you can’t support small businesses like this enough … bravo !
Delighted to be back doing a bit of food writing. Thanks for the opportunity Gillian Nelis and for introducing me to Lena Orla Broderick

One of the most important books on #IrishFood and farming ever. Incredible span of history and research, edited by Máirtín Mac Con Iomaire and Dr Dorothy Cashman. Also incredible value at €45. It’s the history of ourselves from bog butter to Swift to Myrtle Allen. Huge achievement
