Ben Houchen has been elected for the third time as mayor of Tees Valley, winning a total of 54% of the vote.

His highest share of the vote was 57% in Stockton-on-Tees, and the lowest was 48% in Middlesbrough.

Where did David Skaith get his votes? A very strong vote from the city of York. Interestingly as Millie Mitchell just pointed out to me, the Conservative candidate Keane Duncan won the majority of votes in North Yorkshire but the strong showing in York won the race for Skaith
