To me, the real question is why the US feels it needs to aidrop aid into Gaza?

If there is any country that can compel Israel to send in more aid on the ground, it would be the US. So why not do what should be safer, easier, and with fewer logistical limits?

I’ve covered the Middle East for decades. I am at a loss to find words to express how utterly absurd this is as a means to address this crisis. Of all the options the US has at its disposal this is the absolute worst.
