There are students who went to emergency rooms after suffering headshots from rubber bullets.

It is going to take a lot of work for people to heal from what has happened on the UCLA campus

We have to create spaces for that healing and dialogue.

As a member of the state legislature, and someone who both graduated and taught classes at UCLA, I stand completely against the use of state police (highway patrol) participating in the mass arrests of protesting students.

What UCLA students and Daily Bruin journalists experienced in the encampment last night is unlike anything I’ve ever seen at a demonstration.

It was not a counter-protest. It was not peaceful. It was violently unacceptable in every possible way.

Congrats to CDFCA's Director of Education Equity and the Mayor of Culver City! We're so proud of you!!!

This is four decades late, but a step in the right direction.

Such an honor.
