Well this caught us all off guard. Female Osprey CJ7 laid a 4th egg at 19:15 this evening. This is a brilliant result. A four egg clutch is a scarce occurrence in Ospreys. Will they all hatch? Let’s hope so as there’s plenty of food! Tim Mackrill Careys Secret Garden Dorset Bird Club

Well bemoaning the wader-less #LytchettFields seems to have worked as there are at least 2 Whimbrel on French's now and even better 4 Bar-tailed Godwit have just flown over towards the bay Shaun Robson birdsofpooleharbour Dave Helliar #SmallMercies

Just managed to get a back-end shot of these 2 Whimbrel as they flew past Rock Lea Viewpoint last Friday

A reasonably close shot(in fact maybe my closest at Lytchett) of this female Marsh Harrier as it came up out of the reeds at #LytchettFields last Friday

And another male Sand Lizard, this one was much darker than the first #LytchettHeath

With the poor spring weather I haven't paid a visit to Lytchett Heath with any decent warm sun. Luckily Thursday provided an opportunity and my 1st Sand Lizard of the year(a female) obliged for the camera
