The lack of outrage regarding these tactics is appalling, the UK government is paying for these tactics, humans are being left to drown by french officers.

Our Co-Chair Alf Dubs today asked the Lords Minister to address the asylum backlog. Since March 2023, over 55,000 asylum applications have been made but these people remain in limbo. These are people with hopes, dreams and the desire to contribute to UK society.

Notice these stories are all coming from Border Force officers, and none from the actual people who made the journeys themselves; because hearing from them would run the risk of humanising them and revealing why they have no choice but to do it this way.

I was in court for this devastating sentencing yesterday.

I heard how Choul agreed to steer the dinghy as he could not afford the crossing. He did not know this would lead to imprisonment in the UK.

Choul flees war at home, yet he is imprisoned here.
