Western governments are criminalizing solidarity with Palestine because they know that people of conscience all over the world will not tolerate the unfolding Israeli genocide that they have funded, armed, and endorsed.

Police were quite literally throwing tables and pushing students down the stairs until one passed out. Inviting the NYPD onto campus at Columbia University University has both destroyed more property and endangered more people than the original occupation of the building.

These arrests across campuses in the United States are happening *while* Biden is trying to prevent Netanyahu from being arrested for war crimes

like, really understand this: New Yorkers are paying cops to stay at Columbiaโ€™s campus to stop students from protesting war. This is what it means to fund the police

occasionally you're faced with how deep in the fascist state we already are and it's like oh cool resisting this is actually the only thing that matters

History will remember the role the NYPD played today in defense of genocide.

Victory to the students! Victory to the Palestinian people!

Student journalists at WKCR are having to correct professional media, including CNN, claiming the Columbia protesters aren't students.

What a black mark on our industry, forcing student reporters to fact-check our unsubstantiated claims while they watch police raid their campus

If I were Judy Miller I would spend the rest of my life in self-imposed exile but then again Barnard chose her as commencement speaker in 2003 โ€” 2003! โ€” in case you need further context about the dynamics and priorities at play here

What's cool about looking back at the history of college protests is that 19 year old students have been right about every single American war, and the esteemed Harvard educated opinion writers at the New York Times have been wrong about every single American war.

A bus full of arrested students just pulled away to cheers of solidarity from this crowd.

Columbia University has made yet another strategic blunder with this massively disproportionate crackdown on peaceful protesters. As with the first wave of arrests, this will galvanize thousands.
