Today the Governor signed a historic budget that provides ZERO per pupil funding increase for the first time in over a decade. This cornerstone of district revenue has seen its share of the SAF budget shrink dramatically, from 64% in FY 2018-19 and to just 49% in FY 2023-24.

If you live in Hemlock, Freeland or Frankenmuth, make sure to “thank” your state legislators for making sure this budget took care of YOUR children…..we all are in the bottom 16 school districts for funding under this state budget. This is an absolute disgrace. “Bottom 16”
