A reminder that the previous Governor halted Marcellus's execution indefinitely and put together a group to examine his case and look at clemency. Parson dismantled that group and restarted the execution despite the Prosecuting Attorney's pleas. He should never know peace.

The death penalty is flawed, racist, and unjust. It has no place in America or anywhere else in the world. Abolish it.

This is George Junius Stinney, Jr. He was 14 years old when he was executed in the state of South Carolina by an electric chair on June 16, 1944. He was sentenced by an all-white jury without any evidence and took his life. He was declared innocent 70 years after his execution.
