Our new featured art exhibition is by artist Bridgie Hanley, and will be launching on Tues, 16 April at 5:30pm - all welcome. Bridgie Hanley is a painter based in Co Galway, with many years of experience. Her works describe life in the West - from the ocean to the farm.

We are really looking forward to receiving these great totebags - they arrived at Library Headquarters from Colm of A&T Printing only this morning. They are to help celebrate 100 years of Galway Libraries! 🥰

A very special night was had in Galway City Library last Thursday, as Over The Edge celebrated the birthday of the late Kevin Higgins. Hosted by Susan Millar DuMars, it featured readings by poets Sandy Yannone, Kim Ports Parsons and Felicia 'Flish' McCarthy, with an open mic after.

Tomorrow, Friday 5 April, we will be streaming a performance of Verdi's opera Attila at Galway City Library at 2:30pm. This FREE event is open to all, but booking is required.
