Clovis North sophomore Tyree Sams just won the 100m title at the Central Section Masters meet with a time of 10.6 seconds. Sams will be the fastest high schooler in the Valley at next week’s State meet.

At the Central Section Masters T&F meet:
Ethan Avalos of Lemoore defends his 400m title with lifetime best 47.62 second run. Beat out two Central HS runners that also logged lifetime bests. Avalos will race at UC Santa Barbara next season.

Fresno State finished the baseball regular season at 29-26, 16-14 in Mountain West play.

Bulldogs started out 25-9 but finished the campaign 4-17. They play Thursday at the Mountain West tournament in San Diego.

Kingburg scores 3 in the 6th and 3 in the 7th to defeat Garces 6-5. Gavin Enns wins it on a walk-off single, Vikings will host CVC on Tuesday.

With help from San Diego State, Fresno State Baseball won't have to sweat out final day of regular season. They have clinched spot in four-team Mountain West tournament.

Fresno State could qualify for the Mountain West baseball tournament with a Nevada loss tonight against San Diego State.

The Aztecs currently lead 15-0 in the seventh inning.
