FSU will host the 2025 STEM Summit June 17-20. Students from Allegany, Garrett, Mineral, Bedford and Somerset Counties who will enter grades 9-11 in fall 2025 can be nominated by their school’s STEM teachers for the opportunity to attend. There are still spots available.

Emma Craddock was selected to serve as a 25-26 Transform Mid-Atlantic Civic Fellow. She was nominated for this role for her strong capabilities as a student leader and her propensity to affect positive and social change at FSU and within the community.

The Daily Record has announced the 2025 Health Care Heroes, and FSU’s director of the Student Health Center, Christina Burke-Poland, is among the list of individuals and organizations being recognized for the impact they are making on health care within Maryland.

A team from FSU attended the 2025 Accelerate Innovations Forum at Bowie State University. The event brought together innovators, educators, students and entrepreneurs from across Maryland for a day of networking and exploration in the fields of innovation and technology.

On May 7, Frostburg State University students, organizations, faculty and staff were honored at the 2025 Leadership and Engagement Awards reception for their dedication and contributions leadership, community building, service, co-curricular excellence and student life.

Today FSU unveiled the Captain James A. Graham Veterans Center at an honorific naming ceremony. Capt. Graham, USMC, was a 1963 graduate of FSU who was killed in the Quang Tri Province of South Vietnam during the war. He posthumously received the Congressional Medal of Honor.
