One Power 6 head coach told me that, with the transfer portal, he’s not recruiting high school guys this summer. He will leave it to the assistant coaches. “The only thing that will suffer will be my Marriott points,” he said.

I went to see Jalen Brunson during his rookie year with the Mavs and he got a DNP-CD. Had to wait about 45 minutes to see him because he immediately went into the practice gym to get a couple hundred shots up. No surprise to anyone who knows him how much he continues to improve.

I got to listen to one of the best coaches ever today, Bob Hurley, Sr., at the Championship Productions coaching clinic at Iona Men’s Basketball. He’s never stopped learning & never stopped teaching.

Hope he stays in Big 12 Conference. He is a good young man who weathered an ugly situation & handled a lot of unfair fan vitriol with maturity.

Just heard the sad news about Ruben when I landed in New York. Don’t know details but gone way too early. Brought a lot of joy to New Mexico Lobos fans everywhere. RIP, Rube.🙏🏻🏀

Great young man. Well coached. Struggled with offensive confidence at Oklahoma Basketball. But Kentucky Men’s Basketball roster needs bodies. He’ll have good opportunity here.
