My husband went to register our twins at their new middle school today. The counselor hesitantly asked “Is…Mom…in the picture? Because moms usually do this.”

MOM IS BUSY LEARNING HOW TO BE A DOCTOR AND THEY ARE JUST AS MUCH HIS CHILDREN, OMG WHAT YEAR IS THIS??

Stacy Mitchell The amount of times I’ve told my twins’ school that I cannot answer if they call me because I’m seeing patients/in the OR but they STILL call me and will not call my husband.

@fryettesrules I lived 6 hours away from my husband and kids for the first two years of med school, and our preschool last year simply could not FATHOM that fact. They called me first for everything no matter how many times I repeated that I was in a different state and couldn’t help them.

Dawn Kelly 🏳️‍🌈🛠️👷🏻‍♀️ Stacy Mitchell @fryettesrules respectfully, there are hundreds of kids at any given daycare/school and double that amount of parents/caregivers. it’s not always easy remember whose mom is traveling for work, especially in an emergency.
