December 1963 saw the final edition of That Was The Week That Was and David Frost's brutal take down of Home Secretary Henry Brooke is well worth a few minutes of your time. It's on YouTube #sts70s

Thanks for a great show Alan. I think I might stay in 1976. It's the only way I'll see the Baggies promoted! #sts70s #JohnnyGilesWalksOnWater Have a good week everyone.

STATEMENT: Sporting Khalsa would like to rule out manager Ian Rowe from the vacant managerial job at Old Trafford. While his support for United is tolerated reluctantly at the club, we have decided that it would be unwise for us to allow Rowey to make the step down. #UpTheKhalsa

A fine innings from Bethell but.....as i the first innings an England battet has made a big hundred only for failures elsewhere to prevent the team reaping the full benefit, including by the usual suspects. Surely Crawley has to be dropped now? #Ashes #AUSvsENG

Sad news. A friend of mine sadly also no longer with us grew up in Hall Green and played against him in school football. He was also a Bluenose so was immensely proud if this! RIP Hoppy.

The Centenary Test in 1977 was also played at the MCG - an exciting and memorable match won by Australia but not a gimme. There was also a centenary Test at Lord's in 1980 to commemorate the first Eng v Aus Test in England. This was sadly neither exciting nor memorable.
