My firstborn has entered the world.
Go have a look and be astounded by the stuff that Dr Laura Robson-Mainwaring and Euan Roger and my amazing coworkers found and meticulously sorted through for y’all.
Great final Chertsey Abbey Valor Ecclesiasticus workshop at Chertsey Museum today! The rain even held off so we could do a walking tour searching for the medieval abbey landscape
The next stage of #RichardIII filming takes us to The National Archives to see Euan Roger and some documents to help try and make sense of the 15th century.
I’m going to start reading this tonight … thank you Euan Roger The perfect gift from our favourite Historian 🏰 we’ll get you back to Tanners soon!
Archival materials are usually not cataloged at the document level -- indeed, sometimes the individual documents are pretty inaccessible (thinking of Euan Roger and Sebastian Sobecki 🇺🇦's recent Chaucer discovery) -- but also, descriptive cataloging is very labor-intensive
(Re)discover the #Tudor Domesday, #HenryVIII 's Valor ecclesiasticus in the March History Today With thanks to The National Archives Chertsey Museum
Finally getting a chance to sit down and get stuck into this amazing new book by Elisa Brilli and Giuliano Milani this evening... An incredible and rewarding experimental approach to biography which merges and examines the archives, history, and literature seamlessly!
It's #NationalApprenticeshipWeek & I'm Jonnie apprentice at CM. The Westminster Adult Education Service course has unlocked hands-on roles I couldn’t access straight after uni & great experiences such as curating my own exhibition & chance to go behind the scenes The National Archives with Euan Roger
An incredible blog on the Baga de Secretis. or the Bag of Secrets, by archival legend Euan Roger. A recent publication and theory makes much of the fact Richard III's bag is 'empty'. Well, there are no records for ANY king before Henry VII.

A quite simply incredible resource for anyone working on early Tudor legal history and society!
It is with great sadness that we convey the news of the passing of Jenni Nuttall, Jenni Nuttall. She had been ill for a short period and died on Friday, January 19th.
She will be dearly missed by husband Jon ('Mr S') and daughter Molly ('Miss S').
Euan Roger & my latest on Chaucer-Chaumpaigne: why the timeline is paramount, why raptus precedents matter, why there couldn't have been a second case, why Plucknett's reading doesn't apply & why the records give us the certainty this is a labour dispute: muse.jhu.edu/pub/2/article/…
