On this day in 1942, Nick Auf der Maur was born. A columnist for the Montreal Star, he also hosted Quelque-Show on CBC. When he ran for city council, his campaign manager was Stuart McLean. His daughter is musician Melissa Auf Der Maur. He died in 1998.
