Naming a startup is hard. Usually it's chaos: throw words on a whiteboard, argue, and as fatigue hits, settle on good enough. Untitled offers another way. I turned the method I used to name dozens of startups into an app. It's free to try and uses the latest AI models.

I had the chance to test this in beta with Willem. I ran a brief my agency used to choose a name for a startup. Through 5 minutes of intelligent back and forth, Untitled helped find the exact name. Highly recommend this great (and free) tool ~

we just dropped the world's best name generator... to anyone who's started anything, you know how painful it is to come up with the right name that hits all the notes, and still sounds good decades later i've used plenty of name generators in the past - always wanted to find a

A few tips > Fewer syllables often beats more; the 4โ€‘yearโ€‘old test is real. > Highโ€‘point Scrabble letters (Z, Q, X, J, K) are memorable, but use them with intent. > If in consumer, aim for names that can "verb" naturally.

In addition to Untitled, I wrote a comprehensive โ€œhow-toโ€ guide that covers the art and act of naming. With this process, you can name anything in an afternoon. It is incredibly thorough but can be moved through efficiently. How to Name Anything in an Afternoon

If youโ€™d like to read the guide, you can get it here: untitled.new/naming-guide I can't keep up with DMs, so sharing a link instead. Thanks for all the interest. I enjoyed putting it together and hope you enjoy it too.

This is well said by Jordi - but the additional part of The Browser Company of New York name was that, at the time, it was kind of a pre-product lab working on reinventing the web browser. The name felt appropriate for that and a bit tongue-in-cheek as a small NYC-based startup

Superhuman was always a strong product name, and even better for an AI productivity bundle. Iโ€™d have gone all in and retired the Coda and Grammarly brands: Superhuman Mail Superhuman Docs Superhuman Writer Superhuman Go

There is a certain positive attraction that comes with some names over others. Combined with the right visual identity it can lend a subconscious โ€œsurenessโ€ to products.
