I am very excited that our preprint "Reusable rule-based cell cycle model explains compartment-resolved dynamics of 16 observables in RPE-1 cells" is now available on bioRxiv SysBio . Many thanks to the co-authors David Penas, jrbanga , Daniel Weindl and Bela Novak.
We've developed a method to site-specifically introduce chemical modifications *anywhere* on a plasmid 💪 We used this to generate light-activated plasmids 🔦🧬🧪🧫! Preprint led by Khoa Chung Oxford Chemistry UCL Chemistry SynBio CDT tinyurl.com/5fdevtjc
Big congratulations to Manos Alexis for passing his PhD viva last week! It has been a pleasure to examine his work on biocontrollers supervised by Antonis Papachristodoulou, and it's always nice to be in Oxford!
We engineered new synthetic and biological parts for synthetic cells 💪 for controllable communication with living bacteria 😍 orthogonal to previous studies 😎 Published in Nature Chemical Biology Led by Jefferson Smith Dr Denis Hartmann UCL Chemistry @SynBioCDT tinyurl.com/bdd3y56m
Big thanks to Nature Chemical Biology for inviting us to write a Research Briefing about our new paper on light-activated communication between synthetic cells and living cells 🤗😍🧑🏫 A short digestible piece 😋🧑🍳 Jefferson Smith SynBio CDT UCL Chemistry nature.com/articles/s4158…
